Morning Stroll

For anyone who might be interested... Took me a while but I'm finally getting around to blogging about the Half Marathon. What a great weather day and lots of energy too! This is a map of where the course took us. I've decided that 13.1 miles is a long walk! In talking to my nephew, he says that the average person walks a 12 minute mile. I am way above average I guess because my best is about 14.5 minute miles.

This will hopefully change soon! The person who coerced me into walking the Half is now getting me to try to become a runner by the end of summer. We have a goal of doing a 10 K in mid August. The run is through King's Island! Sounds like fun to me! Not the training or the running but going to King's Island.

Hey Deets,
I think it is great that you are getting into this.

When I used to hike quite a bit, we would estimate a flat mile at 15 minutes, so I think you are well within the average.

The most important thing is having a good time and enjoying your body. I did some dancercise with the Girl Scout troop this weekend and I found myself asking-- why don't I do this more often?

It seems like you have been jazzed about this and that you have stuck with it. I am happy for you. E
